JJ Harrison Landscape Contractors Ltd.

JJ Harrison Landscape contractors are a family business based in Whitby North Yorkshire, established in 1978.

Joe Harrison started on his own, gradually increasing over the years as demand made it necessary. We are now a Limited company, which includes son Paul, who joined after gaining a HND in horticulture. Paul started at an early age with his brother Mark mowing lawns and grass cutting with Joe on a Saturday morning for pocket money. Both are still involved in the business, while Mark still has an input on the IT side, Paul has largely taken over the day to day running of the business. Joe and Carole are still very much involved in the business both in an active and advisory role.

Our current customers are largely based throughout North Yorkshire and Teeside, but have been known to travel south as far as South Yorkshire and northwards to Northumberland. The current list of clients often involves work in the North York Moors, Teeside, Scarborough and York.

We provide a wide range of garden services and maintenance, from small urban gardens needing regular garden maintenance to larger parks or gardens requiring design and construction of any kind.

The garden services and maintenance largely consists of grass cutting and hedge trimming. However the staff are qualified for tree work and pesticide spraying or anything you require in the garden. The staff are extremely knowledgeable having not only the relevant certificates but 3 staff members have been with us for over 10 years now. This in addition to the family, which has Joe’s 40 years’ experience and Paul’s 20 plus. We’ve never been faced with a problem we couldn’t at least advise or recommend someone, but in most cases we have a knowledge and workforce to sort your queries and problems, with free, fair and competitive quotes. Whether it be paving and walling on top of the various types of fencing and decking, there’s also outdoor lighting, pergolas and any number of decorative features not only around Whitby but the whole of North Yorkshire and Teeside.
